Museum - Musée St. Paul Museum

Bienvenue ~ Welcome

On January 15, 1896, at the request of Father Albert Lacombe, the Canadian Government set aside 144 square miles of land to establish the mission of St. Paul des Métis. This was the first Métis Settlement in the territory and we invite you to visit the museum to learn how the Town of St. Paul evolved from these early beginnings. Two museums in one, located at 5909 – 50 Avenue in St. Paul, the Musée Historique de St. Paul Historical Museum features an open story book of the Mission of St. Paul-des-Metis, the coming of the homesteaders and how they settled.

The People’s Museum features farm-related artifacts and machinery and a new general store replica from the Destrube's whose house is currently being restored. A highlight is a fully functional miniature lumber camp of the 1930’s.

Open July and August, every day from 10:00 to 4:00pm.

For group tours call (780) 645-4800 / 645-5433.
