Snowboarding is a sport that involves descending a slope that is either partially or fully covered with snow on a snowboard attached to a rider's feet using a special boot set into a mounted binding.

As popular as skiing (if not more in some areas) most ski hills now accomodate the snowboarder.

The development of snowboarding was inspired by skateboarding, surfing and skiing. 

Alberta's Lakeland is a snowboarders paradise, with the numerous hills and an abundance of snow fall....it's a dream for those on the boards.
